Three men arrested for assaulting and robbing rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine

After rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was assaulted at a South Florida LA Fitness last week, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that three suspects have been arrested for assaulting and robbing the rapper.

The three suspects, identified as Rafael Medina Jr, 43; Octavious Medina, 23; and Anthony Maldonado, 25; “They have been located, arrested and are currently being booked/processed at the Palm Beach County Jail,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

In this altercation at an LA Fitness gym, rapper Daniel Hernandez, known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital. Hernandez’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, told CNN in a statement that the rapper “was attacked in a gym sauna by three or four ruffians who beat him (he tried to defend himself).”

CNN has not determined if the suspects have retained an attorney at this time.
